Brook Dawg & HSB Ken shine on "You don't know my story"

When a rap song comes out with this much soul and truth to it, it's only right that you have to play it a few times back to back after the first listen.  I had to give this song a listen in the headphones, in the car, in the shower, while I was having a drink & while I was in the car ride.  This is song is pretty much spiritual and Brook Dawg did what needed to be done on the verses.  HSB Ken shines on the hook & it takes the song to another level with his vocal ability and soulful voice.  The song is produced by super producer Nyght Ryder. You can hear the pain, the hurt, and the seriousness in Brook Dawg verses.  I can admit the 2nd verse on this song brought tears to my eyes and I had to hold back the tears for a minute.  Some of the 2nd verse is like a dedication to his mother....many of the things he has saying to his mother I have thought or said to my mother before.  If I must say so, this song is a perfect 10/10.  Hopefully when Brook Dawg is released from jail, he will shoot a music video to this one because this is a special song right here.  The family aspect Brook speaks on is touching and revealing.  "Ma, i'm sorry for all the shit I put you through, you raised me right, prayed for me at night, didn't turn your back, I fuck with you. Ma please forgive me for all this pain, yeah it's fucked up, I fucked up, you didn't raise me this way. U taught me to keep my faith, hit my knees and pray, get my bread, keep my head up, & keep niggaz out my face"....anytime an artist is vulnerable enough to rap lyrics as deep as this, you have to appreciate it & salute that artist.  Yall don't know my story, yall don't know my grind. FREE BROOK!!!!

J-Rod Brown did it his way!!!

This feels like a dope motion picture!!!! J-Rod Brown releases "My Way" featuring Iva Joe & Gr3ys0n and it's refreshing and it sounds good.  The beginning of the song alone gave me chills and built my anticipation level.  J-Rod didn't let me down at all with this song right here.  "What if world domination brought world peace, would you submit"...whenever you hear a rapper start his verse off with something like that, you should already know the song is going to be crazy.  This is what I call that real rap and it's over a dope rap beat.  These guys on this track are certainly rapping on varsity levels.  "Your way or highway, my lane always been straight".  Another wonderful thing about this song is that every verse sounds good...the length of the song is great...the feel of the song is great...the subject matter is great.  J-Rod Brown, Iva Joe, & Gr3ys0n really did what needed to be done on this song.  I will be playing this song for a long time right here.  DOPE!

Love Lies Cold by Julience....amazing!!!

"Love lies cold" by Julience is something infectious, contagious, & vibrant.  I definitely love the instrumentation & the cohesiveness of the guitars and lyrics.  I'm also always a fan of some great guitar play and some drums & that's exactly what you're getting on "Love lies cold".  Julience captures my attention from the very start of the song & I can admit half way through the song I had to start it over because it sounded so amazing.  The beginning of the song gives me a feel like none other...almost like a super hero or this should be my theme song or something of that nature.  "In the darkness we're lovers baby but in the streets our love lies cold, i'm still waiting for something better from you", this is pretty much a song about being between a rock & a hard place, passion & hate, & a relationship that's too hot to handle. All & all this is one of the best songs of the year.  High quality lyrics, high quality instrumentation, and high quality feels.  This is a timeless song by Julience that will never get old.

Welcome to Tha Cream!!! These songs feel good!!!!

The nostalgic feeling I got when I heard the first song on the project sparked my interest.  "Every man I know done took chances, especially if he building finances".  This is my type of rap & it's always a blessing to hear.  Welcome to Tha Cream!!! THE CA$HLIFE!!! "Addiction" is song number two and I love the way the beat is knocking and I can relate to the lyrics.  You can hear the authentic-ness in the verses.  The real ones will be able to relate to this project.  "Part Time Grinders" is another track that is super dope and relatable.  The beat and the wordplay mesh so good together.  This "Rozay Mindframe" feels so good.  I had to put this one on repeat for almost 30 minutes.  "When you come from the bottom, yeah the journey the blessing".  This song here is simply perfection & the vibe is immaculate.  If someone can tell me they don't feel this song then I don't want to be around that person.  "Figures" is one of those groovy beats that got the replay factor as well.  This one makes me want to get in my car and take a drive around the city with it blasting at ignorant levels.  The story telling on the song "Visions" is top tier & shows excellent rap skills.  "The streets ain't built for no weakness, surrounded by the wicked & these demons".  Another line that caught me was "don't think your ass immortal from the trail & error".  With the last song being another hard song "Final Words", I can say that this project is one of the best of the year.  Everything you need to hear & desire to hear is in this collection of songs.  Top tier rapping, dope production, different subject matters, & creativity.  Ahhyesss!!! Welcome to Tha Cream!!!!

I'm Happy In My Gloom, the new dope project

This "Happy in my gloom" album by Rapn Frizzy is simply dope. The intro track "Happy in my gloom" is remarkable. I love the beat change towards the end & it gives me those real hip-hop vibes that I grew up on. The production on this album is handled by 1bart, Anthony Maidona and Amaze88. "Bananas" f. Cartel Cardo starts off with something that sounds like a xylophone & I love it. I love the aggressiveness of the lyrics & the wordplay. "Grayscale" is one of those tracks where Rapn Frizzy gets in his introspective bag & this is a stand out track. Jodah Feenom shows up on "Luncheon" & this is one that's going to rattle your speakers. "I need a luncheon". I can see me bouncing to this one in the club on a good Friday night with a drink in my hand. Judah Feenom's verse is exceptional by the way!! Madison Root makes an appearance on "Skin" and this is another one that I believe most people will enjoy. "Company Style" is a feel good, fun, and upbeat song. This features Judah Feenom & Mr. Muthafuckin Exquire. "I made her sleep on the couch, company style". I can honestly say this might be the best song on the project. The catchy hook, the beat, and every verse is perfect. "Swag girl vs Business woman" is another one that I can vibe to as well. Overall this "Happy in my gloom" project is cohesive & musical. I highly suggest you check this one out by Rapn Frizzy.

GROWTH by JOE GLASS III

This "GROWTH" project by Joe Glass III is invigorating & fascinating.  Everything about all of these songs are refreshing & different.  Everything pops off with "Reason" & it's certainly a vibe.  After that is "Dirt" but let's get into track #3 which is "LUV".  It's something so soulful about "LUV" and at the same time it's eclectic. The way that bass is dropping on "HAD" puts a smile on my face since i'm a big fan of bass on almost every song I hear.  It's something special about "Sprout", I don't know if it's the horns at the beginning or just how smooth the beat is overall.  "Growth" sounds and feels like something i'm supposed to hear while i'm on an island while sipping something nice & enjoying a view.  "Gardens" give me a cool jazz, hip-hop vibe.  I wouldn't mind seeing this performed somewhere in real life so I can enjoy it in the physical.  This "So Far" is probably easily my favorite on the project.  When a song catches my attention like this one did at the beginning it's usually a great song & that is the case with this song.  This one is so smooth, clean, and groovy.  I love it!!!! "It's Okay" is one of those feel good songs that's addictive and it has a high replay factor.  I'm always a fan of hearing songs that got a lot of soul in them and "Green" is one of those songs.  From the horns, the vocals, the old school feel....something about it takes me to the 70's & I don't even know much about the 70's because I wasn't born but this song is one of those songs for sure.  Without a doubt this "GROWTH" project is multifaceted, exhilarating, and is dope to hear.  Pretty much everything on here sounds different from the track before or after so I feel like it's something for everybody on this "GROWTH" masterpiece by Joe Glass III.

I want to know WHAT WOULD PETTY DO / 89 Mojo

89 Mojo releases "What Would Petty Do" & it's amazing. The first word that came to my mind when it came on was "groovy"...the beat is so groovy and smooth so my attention is captured very quickly.  This is one of those feel good songs that I can hear and see the whole bar dancing and singing to it as it plays after a long week of work.  This is song is a vibe and it's catchy as well.  I have to admit, I have been wondering "What would petty do" before so I absolutely feel this song.  I love the lyrics & I can relate to every single line.  I don't know who is playing this guitar on this song but GOD it's amazing.  All in all., this song sounds well produced & well written.  This is one of those songs that every one can feel & play out loud.  I wouldn't mind watching 89 Mojo perform this live somewhere real soon.  Put it on repeat!!!
