I definitely love when something fresh & different comes across my desk. Today I had the pleasure of running across "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" by Claude Borges. This is something special and displays high level of talent & it feels complete. Sometimes I hear a song and it just sounds like a song. "Smoke gets in your eyes" sounds full & complete. I dare to say the song is perfect. I feel like the vibe of the song was captured with the production and the vocal ability. This song is a rendition to the phenomenal hit from the 60’s by the Platters. "When your heart's on fire. You must realize, Smoke gets in your eyes". I love to hear a song that's deeper than just the instrumentation and vocals. This is a song with meaning & makes me think about a past relationship. Claude Borges delivered on this rendition & i'm looking forward to hearing more music real soon.
