Rockstar Major - Say My Name.....snapping!!!! It's worth the download/purchase

 Rockstar Major releases "Say My Name"!!!! The record "Partyyy" is that vibe!!! The beat is infectious.  This song really makes me want to party.  This song has the elements of a great party song.  "Strip club on fire, where the cash at", this is my type of lyrics right here when I want to party.  "Drop 60 on em like Mike, this yo last dance", yesss this is one of my favorites on the entire EP.  I also love the "Say my name", from the beginning of the song that gives me the Texas chopped n screwed feel to the beat dropping & I hear the Ginuwine inspiration on it.  This is perfection & so refreshing!!! "I aim above the rim like Birdie, drop 30 on yo azz Steph Curry"...I love the lyrical wordplay and dope production.  The flow on this "Grave Diggers" record is amazing.  I'm a fan of real bars & rappers who you can tell take pride in their craft.  I love it!! It's something about this "Reup" record that touches my soul as well.  I think it may be the hook that touched my soul instantly.  "Can't spend no money today, I gotta reup".  Also this "Cross Me" record is a different vibe from everything else on the project & it fits perfectly.  Cross me speaks on real life situations when dealing with people that almost anyone can relate to.  With the catchy hooks, dope production, & superb lyrics...I can say Rockstar Major released a great project.  This EP is worth the download/purchase.  

 

Makings - Upside down, this is dope!!!!

Makings the 6-piece juggernaut of a band releases their brand new hit "Upside Down".  These guys makes a record that feels good & has an addictive beat.  I can see myself dancing and pumping fist to this song in a bar/club while having the time of my life.  The hook is so infectious & the beat rides.  The breakdown in the middle of the song is perfection, this is one of those songs that you will have to play over & over.  I can't wait until this band hits the road & performs this.  I can already see the crowd going crazy.  The band members are Rick, Cairon, Julieanna, Raul, Paddy, and Barry.  They all collectively got together & created a masterpiece on "Upside Down".

Injustice: The chronicles of DJ K.y.D (Album)

 Injustice: The chronicles of DJ K.y.D. is something that feels good to the soul.  The album opens up with "Guess who's back" & KyD Kahlil attacks the beat literally on this song & you can tell he has some stuff to say.  "I'm riding with a smile because I think of you", the next track is "The ride after" & KyD is expressing himself to a woman & speaking on how he feel.  "In a castle" is one of my favorites.  This song gives me a Juicy J/Three Six Mafia feel mixed with a 2022 vibe.  KyD also has a distinctive voice & that's always a great thing to have if you're a musician.  "Moonshine" is one of the ones that's dedicated to the women & I can see the women loving this one & going crazy over it.  Tony Blonko makes an appearance on "Fiya" & this song has the perfect name because it's really the description of the song.  "By any means i'mma touch paper, fuck haters"..."Jealousy" is a stand out track as well on the project.  I also love the song "Eyes Up", KyD touches on losing someone that he loved.  As he races through his memories, I can't help but think of some of people that I have lost.   When a song touches your soul like this, I feel like the artist made a perfect song.  Also when a rapper can express their raw emotions without holding nothing back is always refreshing.  "The pain cuts deep like it was shinobi".  KyD Kahlil dropped a quality project with excellent lyrical content.  DOPE!

 

TenOUTOFTEN by MLK X A1 JOVI

       TenOUTOFTEN by MLK X A1 JOVI is some of that hard ass rap that I love to hear.  A dope ass beat over some refreshing lyrics.  The video gives me that gritty hip-hop feel.  This is one of those songs that you have to repeat & the beat is addictive.  Top tier production always enhances a song for me.  I'm looking forward to hearing more music from this collective.  "1 for the money, 2 for the shows, 3 just for nothing & 4 for fuck the hoes"...from the beginning of the song I could tell what type of vibe this song was going to be on & I loved it.  "Not gone stop this wave until i'm coast to coasting"...I can hear lots of potential & the chemistry on this song is evident.  "Dawg you not about your money, put a muzzle on this shit", all in all this is a song that I believe everyone will enjoy.  Once you run across some rappers with a promising future like this, it's a must to stay connected to their careers & to stay tuned in to their progress through out this rap industry.

S.P.O.T. released a high quality project "The Ladies Edition"

 A dope album!!! Dope lyrics!!! Super super dope production!!! The Ladies Edition by S.P.O.T.!!! The album features special guest appearances by Louie Rich & Moe Flava. The overall feel of this album is nostalgic & it's refreshing.  I'm always down to hear an album or a song that is full of substance.  Songs that sound like an artist had an idea & put the most effort possible into the song.  "Room Service" is one of those songs that is perfect.  I got to be honest, I Had to restart this song 3 times.  When I feel a song in my soul, I have to play it over & over. "Men got feelings too"... The beat on "Every night" is great!!!! The 1st verse on this song is top tier.  "Never miss a good thing till it's gone, hold on to what you got" while listening to this album you can tell S.P.O.T. has been through a lot of ups & downs.  Another one of my favorites on this project is "Whatever it takes", awwwmann I love this.  I feel like the production is perfect.  Also the woman that is speaking on this song is touching my soul & speaking some things that need to be spoke & heard.  "We just wanna be great, I do whatever it takes"...."Never tell me that i'm right, when you know i'm wrong", it's lines like this on the album that feel so authentic and relatable.  Louie Rich joins S.P.O.T. on the record "Salute" & this is another one with dope production.  Some of that production where you can tell the song will be hard before you even hear the words on it.  "Ensure the world keeps revolving, it's yours, ain't no denying".  If you're a fan of pure dope music then this is the album to hear.  Songs with meaning...great production...great vibes & great artistry.  S.P.O.T. released a great one with this.

Letter To You Stepdad by Old Man Brandon

 A lot of times a song title will catch my attention & instantly draw me to a song.  Old Man Brandon releases "Letter to you stepdad"...this song is so powerful, raw, and emotional.  The production is perfect as well.  Old Man Brandon is speaking on his past life situations that's so crushing to hear.  He raps about abuse & his step dad trying to peer pressure into him something so terrible.  Old Man Brandon is man up to forgive his step dad for all of the things he has done.  It takes a real man to record something like this and speak on it.  I would be surprised if Old Man Brandon wasn't crying while writing or recording this song.  "So many years I wished you hell, but today I wish you joy".  I can't even imagine a man beating on my mother & to hear his story is tough.  I wish Old Man Brandon nothing but success & positive energy forever.  This song is guaranteed to touch your soul I promise.  Listen closely!!! Brandon did what needed to be done on this song.  I love it.  Stay prayed up, stay blessed!!!

Allan Ertman & this great instrumental album

 Allan Ertman released the instrumental album "Begun" & it's refreshing to hear.  I love to hear instrumentals that sound good throughout the song & it makes you feel emotions.  One of my favorite instrumentals on the project is "Dance Yourself Away"...I must admit that's the perfect title for that instrumental because that's exactly what it makes you want to do.  It feels like any and everybody can dance to this with no worries while having a good time.  "That's what friends are for" feels good!!!! It's one of those instrumentals that puts you in a good mood...almost in a celebratory mode as well.  This might be my favorite on the project because I want to play it over and over....and over.  The uptempo feel of "Beat 19" gets your head nodding as soon as it comes on.  The beginning of "Scoop" gives me a hip-hop feel mixed with an eclectic feel.  I love the vibe of this one as well, this is another instrumental that makes you feel good once you hear it.  Kudos & much respect to Allan Ertman on releasing a very great instrumental album.  

Ste Kelly embarks on solo journey with 'Bad News Best Forgotten'

 Ste Kelly releases "Bad News Best Forgotten" & it's simply amazing.  Ste is an Irish singer & songwriter.  He is also the founder and vocalist for Dublin based rock band RAGLANS.  The album starts off with "Ok Omen" & I instantly had to put this on repeat for a few times.  It's a great way to start the album off & it had me wondering what the rest of the 12 track album would sound like.  The groove on "Simpatico" is marvelous.  It's one of those songs that feels good & makes me sway from side to side & it has that head nod effect. "Barking up the right tree, Looking underneath your bed, Beware of the enemy, Living inside your head"...  Once I saw the title "All the trouble i've caused", I knew this song had to be something that was gone be special.  "Losing streak" is another song on the album that I love.  A song with a message in it will always catch my attention.  "All I know is nothing at all", "Taste the sunrise" is another one of those feel good songs that you can turn the volume up to the max and just enjoy the greatness of the record.  "Give it up, get over it, let it go"....that song, that message, this song is perfection.  "It's someone else's turn to watch their fire burn", I loveeeeee this song.  The songwriting on this song is top notch.  Then to end the project with "All things must end" is the perfect way to close it out.  This album was sequenced to perfection.  Ste Kelly is embarking on his solo journey with this project & it's something special. The album is available exclusively at Stephens website and record label/virtual music store Maybe Vagrant Records.

 

"Claude Borges" - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

 I definitely love when something fresh & different comes across my desk.  Today I had the pleasure of running across "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" by Claude Borges.  This is something special and displays high level of talent & it feels complete.  Sometimes I hear a song and it just sounds like a song.  "Smoke gets in your eyes" sounds full & complete.  I dare to say the song is perfect.  I feel like the vibe of the song was captured with the production and the vocal ability.  This song is a rendition to the phenomenal hit from the 60’s by the Platters. "When your heart's on fire. You must realize, Smoke gets in your eyes". I love to hear a song that's deeper than just the instrumentation and vocals.  This is a song with meaning & makes me think about a past relationship.  Claude Borges delivered on this rendition & i'm looking forward to hearing more music real soon.

Karma Town impresses me on "Oh No"

 This bass line, these lyrics, the beat, it feels good!!! Karma town releases their brand new song "Oh No" and it's full of emotion, vibes, & memories for me.  When a song touches your soul, you know it's good forever.  Karma town did what needed to be done and captured everything that needed to be captured.  The music video for "Oh No" is amazing as well but that's not important right now....this song is powerful and everything is produced and mixed perferctly.  Maor Moyal handles the lyrics, melody & all of the vocals.  While Ben Shopen handled the mixing.  This is song that is full of feeling.  Now I can't help but to play this song over & over & over.  I hate when I do that but today will be one of those days.  "Life's been going slow since you left me all alone"... At this rate right here, i'll check out everything from Karma Town because this first impression was amazing & I absolutely love this song.  Oh No!!! Listen to it & soak up the greatness.
